Purpose
The organization was created to serve as the philanthropic division of Eta Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.  However, the foundation now functions as a separate entity and supports not only the chapter but other charitable organizations and causes.

The Tea Rose Foundation was created to fulfill the commitment “to be of service to all mankind”  and to improve the quality of life for all citizens.  The Tea Rose Foundation will advance this commitment by securing funds to implement programs and services as well as provide tax deduction potential to sponsors and donors who support the programs and activities of the organization.

The purpose of The Tea Rose Foundation is to provide programs, services and activities to improve quality-of-life issues for the economically disadvantaged.  The Tea Rose Foundation will seek funds through grants (corporate, governmental and foundations), donations, fundraisers and other financial sources the Board deems appropriate to help further our exempt purposes.

In keeping with its purpose to provide programs, services and activities to improve quality-of-life issues for the economically disadvantaged, The Tea Rose Foundation will conduct programs and provide presentations to the community on a wide range of topics in the areas of education, health, family strengthening, civic engagement and collaborations, environmental  stewardship, and global impact.
